Wir bieten Segelkurse für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene an, mit dem Ziel, das General Sailing Certificate oder das Yachtsman Certificate zu erwerben. Je nach Niveau gibt es verschiedene Module: EINFÜHRUNG (1 Tag) BASIS (4 Tage in Zeeland) KÜSTENLEHRE (4 Tage Küstensegeln La Manche/Doverstraße) OFFSHORE (5 Tage oder mehr, inklusive Nachtsegeln ab London oder Ipswich) Wir organisieren auch Sea-faris. Dabei handelt es sich um einzigartige einwöchige Reisen zu weiter entfernten Zielen: Isle of Wight Kanalinseln und St. Malo Helgoland IJsselmeer Schweden und Dänemark. Schließlich bieten wir Bordcoaching für Yachteigner mit weniger Erfahrung an, die ihren Horizont erweitern möchten.

Sailing The early days •Started sailing in 1979 @ Sea-Scouts Oostende on Caravelle & Vaurien and followed sailing courses @ Brigneau, Bretagne (France). •Continued sailing in small sailing boats such as 420, Snipe, … throughout the 80-ties •Yearly sailing camps in Holland with Sea –Scouts from 1979 till 1993 in open boats < 7m such as the Drascombe Longboat & similar. First as participant, later as fleet responsible (4 boats with 5 persons each; age between 14 & 16). •Started as sail instructor in 1987 •Obtained the “Restricted Operator’s Certificate (Shipstations)” on 29/6/1990 granted by the Ministry of communication & infrastructure. •Started as skipper @ charter company “Sailing the North Sea” (Oostende, B) in 1990 on several types of Westerly mainly in Belgian Coastal waters, Schelde estuarian & Dover Strait The regatta period •Started racing in 2001 until 2004 on the “Wet & Wild” (X-37) among them following •Goofy’s winter racing circuit •Belgian CRC championship •Thornton Bank Race (50 Nm) •Vuurschepen Race (110 Nm) •North Sea Race (190 Nm) •Fastnet Race (600 Nm) •Antwerp Race (65 Nm) •Transfers in between races •Training WE’s The family period (2005 – 2020) •Obtained “Certificate of Yachtsman” granted by Federal Public Service of Mobility & Transport, Directorate-General Maritime Transport in September 2002. •Touring Vacations in Mediterranean coastal waters (Zadar & Kornati Archipelago, Split region, Elba, etc …) •Ad Hoc sailing days and WE’s with family in Belgian and Netherland coastal waters The Skipper period > 2020 •Since 2020, started skippering again. •Sail events: LCL cup, Captains of Industry Cup, Teambuilding events, etc … •Transfers between BE/NL marina’s •Obtained Short Range Certificate for GMDSS in November 2022 The Owner period > 2023 •Became the proud owner of “Boreas”, a Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 411 in November 2022. •Transfer of Boreas from Fredericia (Denmark) to Nieuwpoort (homeport) in winter 2022. •Obtained commercial registration (CB410589) for 8 persons on 26/04/2023. •Obtained following personal ceritifciates. oSTCW Basic Safety Training A-VI/ 2023 oSTCW Security Awareness A-VI/6 in December 2024 oGeneral Operator Certificate GMDSS in November 2024 Activities •Provide commercial services to Event Organisations and Charter Companies. •Provide charter activities to individuals such as trips to London, Ramsgate, Ipswich, Ramsgate Channel Islands Helgoland Ijsselmeer •Established a sailing school providing “Start²Sail” training tracks from BASIC to OFFSHORE to people eager to learn with possibility to obtain the official FEDGOV Mobility certificates (Stuurbrevet & Yachtman) Diving •Started diving in 2005 as CMAS 1* Diver •Diving from RIB’s in Belgian Coastal Waters & Schelde delta, Scotland, Mediterranean and Caribbean Waters •Certificate of CMAS 1* Dive Instructor in 2011 •Sport Vlaanderen VTS Trainer Certificatie 2011 •Provide cleaning and propeller verification services for Yachts
