Description of Lucas's houseboats
Nautikhus - Namitz - Hausboot | 4 People
Enjoy idyllic hours and magical moments on the water, independent and far removed from everyday life, on our heated houseboat. The island of Töplitz is surrounded by the Havel River and lies 6 km from the flower town of Werder. Potsdam is 10 km away, and the center of Berlin is 40 km away. The houseboat is equipped with two berths, a toilet and shower, and a saloon with a galley. A 10 m² covered terrace at the bow with lounge furniture invites you to relax. Depending on the weather, the saloon can be enlarged with the awning, providing optimal wind and weather protection. There is also a narrow terrace with a bench at the stern. Our houseboat is 10 m long and 4 m wide, offering a comfortable interior space and good maneuverability in harbors and locks. Just outside Berlin, the Potsdam and Brandenburg Havel lakes offer approximately 200 km of navigable waterways for recreational boats, providing excellent conditions for a boating holiday. The Lower Havel connects over 40 lakes along its route between Berlin, Potsdam, and the city of Brandenburg. Where else are UNESCO World Heritage sites and unspoiled nature so close together? Our houseboat can be booked with a German Inland Waterways License (SBF Binnen) during peak season for stays of 7 nights or more (otherwise 5 nights or more). Boat instruction costs €50 for first-time houseboaters. If you do not have a recreational boating license, you can receive theoretical and practical instruction on how to operate our houseboat before setting sail. The charter license entitles you to navigate the designated charter license area from the Glienicke Bridge downstream to the Göttinsee lake on the Sacrow-Paretz Canal for the duration of your rental. The charter license course lasts approximately 3 hours and costs €110 (and includes the boat briefing for first-time houseboat owners, which costs €50). If wind speeds exceeding force 5 on the Beaufort scale are expected, boats may not leave a harbor or must immediately head for the next one. The Havel River is the defining waterway of Brandenburg. It rises north of Berlin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, meanders gently south and northwest, and flows into the Elbe River near Havelberg. The Havel connects Brandenburg an der Havel, Potsdam, and Berlin and is a heavily used waterway to the north, leading to Lake Müritz, the Mecklenburg Lake District, and Schwerin.
