What to do in Ibiza?

Ibiza is packed with diverse things to do whether you are planning a trip with your family or group of friends. An exceptional corner of the Mediterranean with something for everyone. Its vibrant nightlife makes it world famous with its cosmopolitan and multicultural yet rural roots. This is an island where you can feel free, let your hair down and enjoy the street markets surrounded by beautiful scenery.

The turquoise waters and coves give you a sense of comfort and relaxation that will leave you wanting to return soon. Ibiza boat rentals, whether you want to charter a yacht or a motorboat, gives you endless ways to enjoy Ibiza.

If you are looking for the party crowd, we recommend to stop at Cala Comte and Cala Bassa. You will enjoy the waters glow and one of Ibizas most celebrated beaches! If you also want to try some water sports, ask your boat charter owner if paddle surf and snorkeling equipment are available to rent out. If your ibiza boat hire was from the city of Ibiza, we recommend to check out also Sant Antoni de Portmany only 15 km away. This beautiful city is also in front of the island of Sa Conillera which is one of the smaller Balearic islands.

On the southern part of the island, you can also hire a boat from Port d'Eivissa and head north to Cala Oliviera and Sol d'en Serra. Cala Oliviera is a perfect beach for those who prefer to avoid crowds and Sol den Serra is perfect to see the moonlight sparkle on the water in the evening. A boat trip is a perfect way to move around this island and find secluded beautiful beaches and calas so don't miss out on your dream yacht in Ibiza and book soon.

Other sailing areas in Ibiza

There are a multitude of routes to choose from as well as destinations. Many enjoy navigating a route around all three Balearic Islands, whereas some prefer to stick to one island in order to explore its hidden treasures more profoundly.

How is the weather in Ibiza?

Holiday-makers tend to journey to Ibiza between May and September as the weather is usually at its hottest and driest during this period. With highs of 30°C (86 °F) in July and August and 25-28°C (77-82°F) when summer is arriving and departing, it makes perfect sense as to why summertime is the most desired period. Which are the most popular ports in Ibiza?

Whilst one could simply imagine the tantamount of ports and harbours on a popular island, here are the few that we highly recommend. In Ibiza, you can find motorboats, yachts, and catamarans in their different ports: Port de Sant Antoni, Santa Eulalia, Port d’Eivissa, Magna, Club Nautico Ibiza, Marina Botafoch, Las Salinas & Marina Ibiza.

These harbours and ports offer a mixture of beautiful views, luxury and class, whilst being quintessentially lined off by delicious restaurants.

With countless water(sport) activities to do in Ibiza, it’s highly unlikely that you’d ever get bored. Whilst renting one of our boats, you should consider parasailing, fly-boarding, scuba diving or even blade fishing for an experience of a lifetime.

How to get to Ibiza?

Fortunately, Ibiza is very easily accessible. Ibiza Airport serves as the international airport for the Baleares. You can also get a ferry to the island from Barcelona, Valencia and Denia. The Balearia service operates up to 9 times a week and journeys vary from approx. 3 hours. On the other hand, you could always sail to Ibiza, one of the most popular places of departure being Barcelona, where Nautal have many boats to offer, and Mallorca, another Balearic island.

Ibiza and Formentera are perfect for sailing. Many great places and the booklet received from Rumbo Norte was very helpful in terms of where to anchor etc.

Formentera is a beautiful place, Lots of hidden caves to view and some unbelievable beaches to moor up at. We visited the whole of the west coast in a day and had a great time. If you hire a boat this is a must do trip. Only thing to be cautious about is the open sea crossing between Ibiza and Formentera, it can get a little choppy at high wind.

Visit Ibiza and Formentera, particularly the caves for cliff jumping. Reserve a lunch spot in Formentera (Tiburon was amazing) the week before. A tender can pick you up so you are dry upon arrival at the restaurant. Overall the cruise to the isolated beaches and caves was 100% worth the money spent!!!
