Day trips. South sailing trip (Zakynthos main port to the south - more relaxing area protected from extreme wind gusts with the famous turtles caretta-caretta and nice small beaches and amazing caves . The boat departs at 9am from the port of Zakynthos. The trip takes about 9 hours. From Zakynthos town harbour we sail southeast wards along the wonderful green coastline of Vasilikos. After rounding cape Gerakas we enter the “National Marine Park” the protected sea turtle “Caretta-Caretta” area. In the bay of Laganas we pass the islands Pelouzo and Marathonisi and steer for the blue caves of Keri. Under the high cliffs we stop for swimming and snorkelling in one of the caves, after which we head for the small fishing village where the meal can take place in a seaside restaurant of Limni Keriou. There you have enough time to go to one of the tavernas, to do shopping or enjoy the village beach. Depending on wind we will now sail back close to the turtle island Marathonisi through Laganas bay. Here in the warm waters we hopefully get a closer look on a sea-turtle and head back for the port. We try to find you lovely places for relaxing, swimming and snorkelling. The program is depending on wind and weather-conditions. Sailing experience is not needed but you are more than welcome to participate in hoisting the sails etc. Your skipper will try to answer all your questions We do advice you to bring some extra clothing is usually a bit fresher. North sailing trip ( Zakynthos main port to the north- with the famous beach shipwreck , always weather permitted ) The boat departs at 9am from the port of Zakynthos. The trip takes about 9 hours. The first destination for swim stop is the Blue Caves. After the Blue Caves, we visit the famous Shipwreck. Dependence of weather condition and boats traffic passengers in agreement with the captain can choose to swim either on crowded beaches or in isolated ones nearby. Steering back to the port of Zakynthos the meal can take place in a seaside restaurant ( Mikro Nisi ). In consultation with the captain, the passenger can choose a last swim in Xygia beach before we sail back to Zakynthos port .
