We were actually given a different boat as the one we booked had to undergo some maintenance. Our boat had a few issues: most importantly the throttle was very stiff, making it near impossible to drive smoothly. I was also missing high resolution chart data, although that could well be down to my lack of experience with the device. I cannot fault the booking process, Jan was responsive and helpful. The check-in was a little less thorough than I would have liked, perhaps due to the limited experience and English of the otherwise friendly young man at the counter. More detailed information on refuelling would have been helpful, as we found out at the end of the day when 1. we first barely could find the petrol station (it was hiding behind a ferry), and 2. we were told by a touch too assertive staff member that we had not properly refuelled the boat due to its bobbing on the waves and he guesstimated the missing amount (perhaps entirely fairly and correctly) It would have been a better approach to give proper, detailed instructions at the start of the hire, especially after I had made it very clear that this was our first time renting a motorboat. Overall, it was still a nice day, but there is room for improvement in the service.
From the moment they arrived, this renter was friendly, appreciative, and eager to explore the waters. An absolute delight to work with.
They were respectful of the boat, fellow boaters, and the environment. A responsible and considerate individual on the water.
