The day tour was fantastic! Reinier and Minnie were very welcoming everything well organized and smooth. They took us to spots with phenomenal water, and with less crowds. Truly enjoyed our time we were a big group of 10 people and had a blast! Would highly recommend to everyone
Sardinia’s coastline is absolutely stunning — the kind of beauty that makes you stop mid-sentence to take it all in. Cruising past turquoise bays and dropping anchor near remote beaches was definitely the highlight of our trip. It’s a special feeling to reach places you simply can’t get to by car, and the water here is some of the clearest I’ve ever seen. This experience was quite different from our previous catamaran charter. In this case, the skipper, Reiner, and his partner, Mimi, actually live on the boat full-time, so the kitchen, dining area, and fridge were full of their personal items and groceries. Both Reiner and Mimi are lovely people and easy to get along with, but it felt less like a bareboat charter and more like staying in someone’s home — something worth knowing before you book. It’s also important to know in advance if the skipper has a guest living aboard, as space is limited and having an unexpected extra person on a small boat can be a surprise. The route we took down south did offer access to remote beaches, but it also meant long stretches at sea — about six hours a day on the motor, since there was no wind and the sails never went up. This might be totally fine for some, but it’s worth knowing if you were picturing more time anchored and exploring. Reiner’s style is very immersive — he and Mimi joined in on pretty much everything: snorkeling, beach drinks, even dinners. They were clearly enjoying their vacation alongside ours, which could be great if you want a social atmosphere. We also ran into a water shortage on the second night. Reiner makes water with reverse osmosis, so supply is limited — and with the extra person aboard, it ran out faster. All in all, it was lovely to see Sardinia from the water, but for us, a day trip might have been a better fit. That way, you still get the gorgeous coastline and hidden beaches without some of the quirks that come with living aboard someone else’s home for multiple days.
Our group had an amazing time on the boat enjoying the beautiful waters of Sardinia. His boat was well equipped to accomodate our group and had good facilities for eating, having down time and laying in the sun. Whilst the more popular coves were unfortunately full, we got to experience some beautiful coves and swimming spots on our 3 days on board. Reiner was very welcoming and great to charter with. By the end of the trip he was part of our group enjoying dinners, drinks, card games and stories. We weren’t aware that his partner Minnie also lived on board in one of the masters rooms, however she was lovely and incredibly welcoming. We look forward to joining Reiner again on his boat in Sardinia in the coming years. We highly recommend.
Amazing experience! Reiner was an amazing host. High recommended!
It was a beautiful August bank holiday. Reiner and his girlfriend sailed to wonderful areas far from the chaos of the Costa Smeralda, allowing us to discover new paradisiacal beaches.
We had a fantastic day with Reiner and Minnie. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
Excellent everything!
We had a wonderful day. The captain and his crew were attentive and kind. The catamaran is medium-sized and the facilities on board were comfortable. We made three swimming stops in the beautifully colored waters. We didn't visit any beaches or coves, but it was very pleasant and magical.
