Bord à bord is a Lagoon 400 catamaran built in 2010 and delivered in mid-2011. In the "owner" version, the starboard hull consists of a cabin, an office space and a bathroom with WC and shower compartment. The port hull includes 2 cabins each with a bathroom, WC-shower. The very bright "saloon" thanks to its overall view of the outside, is on the same level as the cockpit: thus, preparing lunch or an aperitif is done while remaining "in sight" of the crew. Approved in category "A", the boat is equipped with an "Epirb 1" beacon and an AIS transmitter. Thus, other boats equipped with AIS receive information on their GPS giving the position, route and speed of those around them. Moreover, the boat can easily be located on specialized internet sites. For my part, I have been practicing connavigation in crews for about ten years, on the French, Spanish and Italian Mediterranean coasts, including the Balearic Islands, Corsica and the island of Elba as well as the Tuscan islands. Departing from Bormes-les-Mimosas / La Favière, on day trips, the world of Port Cros, Porquerolles and the Giens peninsula opens up, as well as the magnificent anchorages of Brégançon and Léoube. We can also consider a slightly longer navigation to Cap Lardier and Cap Taillat, and their beaches with turquoise waters or their rock bottoms famous for freedivers. Always subject to compatible weather, wind and swell in strength and direction. Thanks to its ease of use, the comfort it provides and the safety it provides when sailing, this type of boat is ideal for spending good times in particularly beautiful sites. Boarding does not require any special training or skills, just the desire to be on the water and the discovery of how to handle a cruising catamaran.
