Carpe Diem is a Conati 31, over 45 years old. She is available for daily charter or longer if you want to sail on a seaworthy boat that's easy to sail with her small mainsail and furling genoa. You'll appreciate rustic comfort in an all-wood interior, with the charm of a classic, warm, and seaworthy boat. I'm trying to renovate my boat little by little and use her with the respect due to her age, without abusing her. I avoid rough conditions and reduce sail area quickly. I hope, if you choose to charter her, you'll be considerate enough to do the same. Departing from Gruissan, you can spend a few peaceful days between La Franqui and Valras or head off to Agde, Sète, the Camargue... or head south to Collioure and then Spain. Carpe Diem doesn't have the interior space of a modern 10-meter boat, but it can accommodate up to 4 adults with two double cabins and the saloon benches for children. The ideal, in my opinion, is a maximum of 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2/3 children. The onboard electronics are complete, including a fixed and mobile VHF radio, depth sounder, wind vane, anemometer, and battery monitor. The safety equipment meets the mid-shore standard (life support, EPIRB, first aid kit, etc.), in addition to four 170N automatic life jackets for adults and one for a child. In terms of comfort, the tender (suspended from the davits) is very practical for disembarking from an anchorage, your playlist can be played on the interior and exterior Bluetooth speakers, and of course, the swim board and ladder make it easy to reboard. The kitchen area isn't huge, but the refrigerator is efficient, and the two gas burners and oven allow you to whip up a proper meal. Finally, the marine toilet, for use while sailing (and not in port!), is new and electric, making it easy to use.
