    Today we spent a truly wonderful day aboard Yann’s sailboat. He picked us up in the morning in Saint-Malo, and we set sail at high tide. Yann expertly navigated us through rocks and shallow waters, explaining the nautical markers along the way. He also took us on a fascinating journey into the world of Saint-Malo’s pirates, sharing tales of their raids against the English and Dutch, and showing us the coastal island fortresses. We spent lunchtime at a beautiful beach near the Ébihens archipelago. A refreshing swim in the tropically warm 17°C water was just what we needed! After a leisurely lunch, everyone enjoyed a short nap before we began our return journey to Saint-Malo. Conditions were perfect: calm seas, a steady 10–11 knot breeze, and mostly sunny skies. We returned at low tide and were amazed by the dramatic tidal range. Where there had been water in the morning, rocks now stood exposed and boats near the shore were resting on dry land. A fantastic day out on the water — full of sun, fun, and discovery. We can highly recommend a sailing trip with Yann!
