Book now and let the Mediterranean do the rest. The Dufour 35 Classic is a J & J design with a relatively modern hull shape. The hull has a pronounced "U" in the bow third, and the lines gradually flatten towards the stern. The bulbous keel and the slim suspended rudder complete a pleasing design. The boat is built with its main bulkheads and frames laminated to the hull. The counter-moldings used—some of which are visible behind the furniture—are for the saloon and bathroom furnishings, without being essential to the overall rigidity or adding excessive weight. The 35 Classic doesn't particularly excel in any particular direction or wind speed, but it performs admirably in all conditions it might encounter upwind. The rig is practically masthead rigged, without backstays, and with two sets of slightly angled spreaders. The boat can handle up to 62 m² of sail upwind for a displacement of 4,500 kg.
