About the experience

Rent a wonderful, finely restored trawler. The Taipan is a boat filled with memories of times gone by, recollections of distant seas, and tales that end with the beginning of a new journey. I invite you to discover the history of this vessel, featuring two cabins with bathrooms and a spacious dinette in pure vintage nautical style.

From Portoferraio, you can sail through the crystal-clear waters of Elba Island, with the option of reaching the most hidden and enchanting spots in the Tuscan Archipelago, as well as Corsica and Sardinia for longer stays.

Entering the boat, you'll find the main area, the dinette, with its large table and a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare delicious seafood dishes. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, finished with wooden details and a true nautical style. Both cabins are decorated in the same style.
At the stern, you'll find a luxurious bow cabin with a large double bed and a single bed, as well as a bathroom with a walk-in shower and air conditioning. The bow cabin features two spacious and comfortable bunk beds, a large wardrobe, and a bathroom.

Outside, the boat features a large sundeck both aft and forward. On the flybridge, you'll find comfortable sofas sheltered by the flybridge awning, the perfect space for an aperitif or to relax while cruising.
The skipper and tender costs are included in the price, while food, fuel, and any port charges are excluded.

Check-in and check-out times are approximate and correspond to day trips. For longer stays or special requests, the time can be agreed upon based on everyone's needs. Overnight stays can accommodate a maximum of 7 passengers.

    Lorenzo was a great captain for our day at Elba. He even picked us up at the ferry terminal and cooked delicious lunch on board. He clearly knows the area very well and took us to incredible calas.

    Lorenzo was very responsive and flexible with accommodating our day charter to sail around Elba on short notice. Lorenzo clearly has an eye for design and the interior and exterior of the Taipan is beautifully refurbished and well maintained. The boat was clean and spacious and comfortably accommodated our group of 8 for a day out at sea. Lorenzo was very warm and friendly. We had the most beautiful day sailing on the Taipan with Lorenzo and would not hesitate to recommend him.
