The meltemi wind is considered the most forceful wind in the summertime in Greece. Luckily, the meltemi is much lighter in the area of Greece and differs from wind force 4-6 in a northerly direction. Though the meltemi doesn’t always blow in summer, there can sometimes be a lighter southerly wind blowing at wind force 2-4.

The Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades Islands are brilliant options for sailing routes and destinations on your gulet. Though please be wary that the meltemi wind can be more forceful in the Cyclades.

Athens International Airport (ATH) is 33 km away from Marina Kalamaki. Bus shuttles run to the centre or you can get a taxi directly to the marina.
