Sailboat Rentals in Ibiza

Located in the Balearic Islands is the glorious and desirable destination that is Ibiza. It is in fact one of the most visited islands around the world. It is situated next to Formentera, Mallorca and Menorca, which together take shape of what is known as The Balearic Islands. The best way to experience Ibiza and its 210 km of coastline, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, is with sailboat rentals in Ibiza.

Navigation Ibiza

Ibiza has a variety of ports, including the Port d'Eivissa, Les Salines, Ibiza Marina, Ibiza Magna, Marina Botafoch and Club Nautico Sant Antoni. An exciting way to start exploring Ibiza by sailboat, is from the Marina Santa Eulalia. It is one of the most well known ports, with a unique location as it is situated just less than 15 kilometers from Ibiza town. From this port you can experience the Southeast coast on a much deeper level, by sailing from Cala d'en Serra to Es Freus. This particular port is highly recommended due to its traditional Ibizan feel. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of touristic areas in the summer. Another of the most used ports when renting a sailboat in Ibiza, is the Club Náutico Ibiza. It happens to be the second oldest of the Balearic Islands with more than 300 moorings available for your sailboat. Ibiza has over 90 beaches and coves with thousands who visit each year, especially within in the summer months. There may even be some familiar faces. We recommend planning ahead with an Ibiza sailing navigation route. This is to avoid being left disappointed and without availability of the perfect sailboat for you. In high season sailboats are usually rented pretty quickly due to the demand. Practice different water sports like surfing, snorkeling, diving; enjoy the extras of your boat and sail The Pitiusas. Enjoy the crystal clear waters, surrounded by green vegetation and fine white sand. We recommend visiting the Cala Olivera, Cala Llentrisca or Sa Caixota as the creeks dry up and you can therefore explore the coves left behind. If you've decided to rent a sailboat in Ibiza with a skipper, they will be sure to let you in on the best kept secrets of the island so you can discover small hidden paradises that Ibiza has to offer. As you may already know, Ibiza has the most spectacular sunsets which are guaranteed to mesmerize anyone who has the privilege to catch one. This is due to its orientation to the West; Make sure you discover the best kept sunsets by anchoring in Cala Compte.

Climate Conditions In Ibiza

The sailing season in Ibiza runs from April through to October, when the Mediterranean climate causes temperatures to reach about 24 degrees on average. In this weather you can enjoy a refreshing swim from your sailboat, as water temperatures hover from 19 to 27 degrees in summer. The Ibiza winds blowing from the South and East are mainly in the sea and are grounded; These are low intensity which allows a perfect to moderate sailboat sail swell.

How To Get To Ibiza

Ibiza is easily accessible by plane thanks to Ibiza airport, located in the South of Ibiza which is within 10 kilometers of the city. You can also access Ibiza by boat due to its three most important ports; the port of Ibiza, the port of Santa Eulalia and the port of Sant Antoni. By boat it is possible to access each point on the Ibizan coast easily. In order to move faster on land, do not hesitate to rent a motorbike or a car.

Ibiza and Formentera are perfect for sailing. Many great places and the booklet received from Rumbo Norte was very helpful in terms of where to anchor etc.

Formentera is a beautiful place, Lots of hidden caves to view and some unbelievable beaches to moor up at. We visited the whole of the west coast in a day and had a great time. If you hire a boat this is a must do trip. Only thing to be cautious about is the open sea crossing between Ibiza and Formentera, it can get a little choppy at high wind.

Visit Ibiza and Formentera, particularly the caves for cliff jumping. Reserve a lunch spot in Formentera (Tiburon was amazing) the week before. A tender can pick you up so you are dry upon arrival at the restaurant. Overall the cruise to the isolated beaches and caves was 100% worth the money spent!!!
