Motorboat Rentals in Turkey

At Nautal you can find motorboat rentals in Turkey and other dream locations around the world. Flexible cancellation or date change up to 15 days prior to sailing for select boats, but you should ask the boat owner for the conditions of the specific boat. Renting a boat in Turkey guarantees you a luxurious vacation on the coast of an amazing country, and a motorboat rental is the best way to travel at speed, seeing as much of the country as possible. Turkey will charm you with its culture, traditions, history, nature and beaches.  One thing is for sure though, with so much to do, you definitely won’t be bored in this bustling hub of culture and history.

What is the cost of renting a motorboat in Turkey?

The cost of renting a motorboat in Turkey, and indeed any other country across the world will vary greatly depending on a number of different factors.  Some of these factors include the size of the boat, the model of the boat, the number of people, the duration of the trip and where you want to charter.  Below are some prices based on location.

If you want to rent a motorboat in Bodrum, Fethiye or Gocek, prices vary throughout the year but start from €5126 per week during the low season.
In Istanbul, prices remain fairly consistent throughout the year, but are a little more expensive, starting from €2141 per day and €14984 per week.

Is it possible to rent a motorboat in Turkey with or without a skipper?

Yes, in Turkey it is possible to rent a motorboat either with or without a skipper, but it should be noted that for all motorised boats, you need a Certificate of Competence in order to rent without.  If you’re planning on a bareboat charter, you should check how to obtain this.
Renting without a skipper is perfect for those who are confident handling motorboats and want the freedom to travel where they want, at the pace they want.  If, however, you want a more relaxing holiday, during which you’re guided to all the best places by a local, renting a motorboat with a skipper is for you.

What are the weather conditions for going to sea in Turkey?

Since Turkey borders four different seas, the weather conditions vary greatly in different parts of the country. However, generally speaking, the weather in the country from May to October is favorable for any type of boat charter.  The average temperatures year round are about 20°C (68°F), with temperatures sometimes exceeding 30°C (86°F) in the summer.
When planning your trip, you should keep in mind that in August a strong warm meltemi wind blows from the north, and in the fall and winter, the southeastern lodos wind is predominant. In addition, it often rains in the fall and winter, whereas in August, Turkey’s driest month, there is very little rain. Therefore, do not forget to check the weather forecast for the period of your charter as otherwise, unfavourable conditions could ruin your holiday.

When is the best time for motorboat hire in Turkey?

You should judge when to hire a motorboat in Turkey depending on what sort of vacation you want.  If you hate rain and want to benefit from higher temperatures, you should charter a boat in the summer months.  The only drawback of a charter during this period though, is that the higher temperatures and lack of rain bring crowds of tourists and locals to the beaches and push the boat prices up.
If you want to avoid the crowds, you should instead visit Turkey during the winter months.  During this period, although the temperatures will be lower and there will be more rain, there will be much fewer people and hence, lower boat prices.  It is, however, important that if you go during this time, you always check the weather forecast to make sure that you won’t experience any particularly bad weather.

What are the best ports and sailing areas in Turkey?

Picking where to start your motorboat charter can be difficult, as there are so many great areas to choose from.  Fethiye Ece Marina, with 400 moorings, is a particularly good place to start a motorboat rental vacation, but you can also stop off at Netsel Marina or the ports of Gocek and Albatross.  All of these have many essential services, such as water, electricity, and even wifi.
You should also plan to stop off at Atakoy Marina, Marti Marina and Palmarina in Bodrum,  Atakoy is very near the airport and offers many amazing services, such as laundry, ironing, and repair services.  Palmarina in Bodrum has many berths, 24 hour mooring assistance and many different places to have  a quick bite to eat.  Marti Marina is particularly special though, as on top of the amazing pine forests adorning the mountains surrounding the marina, it is also one of the only marinas where you can go for a swim where you moor.
There are also many beaches you can visit in your motorboat charter, including Aktinkum beach, which offers amazing sunsets, Gobun beach, located between two cliffs, and Turun beach which offers tranquil conditions, not being frequented by as many tourists.

What to do during your motorboat charter in Turkey?

By renting a motorboat in Turkey, you can discover every corner of the country. Start your journey at Bodrum's Milta Bodrum Marina, one of the most luxurious ports in the Aegean and Mediterranean sea. This port has all the amenities that those docking there could possibly need, including a fitness center, wi-fi, 24-hour security and a restaurant
When traveling in Turkey, you should also take the time to visit Turun Beach, located near Marmaris, and Gobun, near Fethiye.  The country borders four seas at once: Aegean, Mediterranean, Black and Marmara. Each part of the Turkish coast is home to so many beaches that you are sure to find one to suit your tastes.
Istanbul is another impressive area to visit, with its magnificent mosques, lively oriental markets and Turkish baths. In the Bodrum Peninsula, you will find fortresses that remind you of the country’s rich history and you are sure to enjoy the nightlife, which is in full swing in the many bars, restaurants and yacht clubs. In Fethiye, you have to visit the Blue Lagoon Beach, Mount Babadag (where anyone can go paragliding) and the Valley of Butterflies.
Antalya is another ideal place for family holidays. There are simply so many things for your children to enjoy, including an oceanarium, a water park, a zoo, a dolphinarium and an amusement park. In addition, there are many ruins of the ancient city, natural areas and historical sites in and around the city.

How to get to Turkey?

If you plan to travel by plane, international flights go into Istanbul Ataturk, Istanbul Sabiha, Izmir, Ankara, Antalya and Dalaman airports.  There are direct flights, especially into Istanbul, from all over the world, including the USA, Switzerland and numerous cities across the UK, including London.  However, you can also get to Turkey by boat from the coast of Greece or Italy.
