Renting a boat with or without a skipper?

Renting with a Skipper:

Cost: Renting a boat with a skipper could include an additional fee, which can vary depending on the duration of the rental and the experience level of the skipper.

Expertise: Having a skipper onboard provides peace of mind and allows passengers to relax and enjoy the sailing experience without worrying about navigation, docking, or other technical aspects.

Local Knowledge: Skippers are familiar with the waters around Sifnos, including the best anchorages, hidden gems, and safety considerations, enhancing the overall sailing experience.

Safety: Skippers are trained and experienced professionals who prioritize safety, ensuring a smooth and secure sailing holiday for all passengers.

Renting without a Skipper:

Experience: Renting a boat without a skipper is suitable for experienced sailors who are confident in their sailing abilities and navigation skills.

Certification: In Sifnos, renters without a skipper typically need to provide proof of relevant sailing certifications or demonstrate adequate sailing experience to ensure safe navigation.

Independence: Renting without a skipper offers the freedom to explore at your own pace and customize your itinerary according to your preferences.

Cost: Renting a boat without a skipper may be more cost-effective for experienced sailors, as there is no additional fee for hiring a skipper.

Ultimately, the decision to rent a boat with or without a skipper depends on individual preferences, sailing experience, and budget. Whether seeking a relaxing cruise or an both adventurous sailing expedition, options offer unique opportunities to discover the beauty of Sifnos from the sea.
