What can you see and do on a boat charter in Trogir?

Trogir offers something for every traveller; whether you want a relaxed beach day, a cultural trip or an adventure in nature, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Trogir. Here are some of our favourite things to do while on a Trogir yacht charter!

  • Hop around the beaches: Trogir is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. There are plenty of beaches that are popular with both locals and tourists. Visit the small pebble beach of Kaštelet, a secluded bay that is known for its tranquil atmosphere and crystal clear waters, perfect for snorkelling. For a more lively environment, you might like City Beach, located right in the heart of Trogir and in close proximity to plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you entertained. A yacht charter grants you access to beaches outside of Trogir and you can sail to the islands of Ciovo or Drvenik for more stunning beaches surrounded by lush greenery.
  • Take a day trip: Explore the surrounding destinations like the iconic island of Brač, which is just a short boat ride away and is a must-visit destination for beach lovers. While there, you should definitely go to Zlatni Rat Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the entire country. It is nestled in the middle of a vast pine forest and is a great beach for watersports like windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. You can also visit the medieval town of Šibenik or the historic city of Split, known for Diocletian's Palace, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Get in touch with nature: Head to the beautiful Krka National Park and go hiking on one of its many trails. Along the way, you’ll even see waterfalls!
  • Head to the Blue Lagoon: If you’re a fan of swimming and snorkelling, there’s no better place to get in the water than the Blue Lagoon which is located on Drvenik Island. It’s also a great place for scuba diving!
  • Sail to the Kornati Islands: This archipelago is an unspoilt paradise rife with marine life. Scuba dive and explore a magical underwater world!

What is the best time to charter a yacht in Trogir?

If you want to embark on a boat charter in Trogir, we recommend visiting between May and October, when the weather is warm and there is little to no precipitation. If you’re not a fan of crowds, we’d suggest avoiding the summer months, as this is the high tourist season. If you visit in either May or September you’ll still have warm weather and you’ll get better deals on boats!

Do I need a skipper on board my Trogir boat rental?

There are so many benefits to having a skipper on board, even if you have a licence to sail! Skippers are nautical experts who will dock, anchor and navigate the vessel for you, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday with the ones you love. With a skipper present you can sail with peace of mind knowing that you’re in safe hands. Skippers are also usually locals of the area which means that they can act as a private tour guide and take you to see all of the spots on your sailing itinerary, and even some hidden gems that you might now have known about otherwise.

For a personalised experience on board, opt for a skippered yacht charter in Trogir!

What type of boat is best for a Trogir yacht charter?

The type of vessel that you choose for your sailing holiday can make or break your experience, and to pick the right one you need to think about how much time you’ll actually be spending on board. For a holiday of less than a week, you should opt for a daily charter since you probably won’t need to be sleeping on board. Motorboats and RIBs are excellent options and go faster than other vessels, meaning that you can see everything on your itinerary in no time!

If you want to spend a week or more on board, we’d recommend a more spacious vessel such as a catamaran or yacht. These vessels are perfect for a holiday with family and friends and they are fully equipped with the amenities you’ll need to make your stay more comfortable such as a kitchen, bathroom and cabin. If you’re after a more traditional sailing experience we’d recommend a sailboat rental however, they tend to be tricky to navigate so you should always choose one with a skipper.

Great place that you should not miss in your visit to Croatia. The maritime and historical contrast as well as its enclave make your visit very attractive. I recommend visiting the fruit market and the fish market, in addition to the seafront. The only handicup, is to park the vehicle in the vicinity of the island.

Don’t waste your time, hire yacht with a permanent crew. Avoid the risks of losing thousands of euros of deposit. Lost time is never found again. Instead, sail and enjoy more. Maybe we have a bit of luck, but somehow it turned out that all our guests loved to sail. They talked to us about various reasons why they chose to spend their vacation with us on our yacht, but we got the impression that these people are usually people who make smart decisions in life.

Trogir is a great place and harbour to start you journeys. All the services you need, great and very nice city. It is very close to Split airport, there are ferry services to islands close by and all the ammenities you might ever need. We went to Brac and Solta and Hvar, sailed all around, stayed In small bays on anchorages as well as in marinas. Everything was just a bliss.
