Rent a boat in Pula with Nautal

Pula, a beautiful coastal city located in the southern part of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia, is a dream holiday destination for many travellers. It's not difficult to see why, as Pula boasts a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty that makes it a true gem of the Adriatic. One of the main attractions of Pula is its well-preserved Roman architecture. The city is home to the Pula Arena, a first-century Roman amphitheatre considered one of the world's best-preserved ancient structures. Visitors can explore this impressive landmark, which once held up to 20,000 spectators and was the site of gladiator battles and other performances.

In addition to its rich history, Pula is a hub for outdoor activities. Hiking, swimming, and snorkelling are just a few options available to those who love to explore nature. The region has many beautiful beaches and hidden coves, perfect for sunbathing or simply taking in breathtaking scenery.

But perhaps the best way to truly experience all that Pula has to offer is to rent a boat and explore the surrounding islands and coastline at your own pace. One of Pula's most popular day trips is to the nearby Brijuni islands, a group of 14 islands that offer a unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The islands are home to a national park and many interesting landmarks, including the remains of a Roman villa and an Austro-Hungarian fortress. A Pula boat charter is a unique and unforgettable way to experience this beautiful city and its character. With its rich history, natural beauty, and endless adventure opportunities, Pula is a must-visit destination for any traveller.

What is included in the cost?

Your boat rental in Pula often includes the rental itself and safety and navigation equipment. Various amenities such as fuel, skipper or crew services, water sports equipment, and more might incur extra costs. It's vital to communicate with the boat owner to avoid any surprises.

How much are the mooring fees in Pula?

Mooring fees in Pula fluctuate based on boat size, selected port or marina, and duration of stay. Prior research into specific fees for your intended destination empowers you to budget wisely.

What is the best time to visit Pula?

Pula benefits from a typical Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers that make it an ideal holiday destination all year round. May and September are the best time for a Pula boat rental. During this time, the weather is fantastic.

From June to August, temperatures hover around 28 degrees Celsius, creating the perfect weather conditions for a boating adventure in the Adriatic Sea. You also have the advantage of extended daylight hours. The sun typically rises as early as 5:30 am and sets around 8:30 pm, providing plenty of time for exploring the city and enjoying outdoor activities. When planning a boat rental in Pula, it is essential to consider the peak tourist season between July and August, when the city can get quite crowded. Booking in advance and visiting the city before or after these months is advisable to avoid crowds.

The tail ends of the boating season are ideal for chartering a yacht in Pula since the crowds are not as heavy as during the peak months of July and August. Visitors can expect a more peaceful and relaxing experience while enjoying the city's stunning sights and attractions. During the winter months, temperatures can drop to around seven degrees Celsius. This period is not ideal for boating activities as the weather may be chilly, and the water may be too cold for swimming.

Should I hire a boat in Pula with or without a skipper?

On Nautal, you will find that many available boats can include a skipper. While this is not mandatory in many cases, having one on board with you is beneficial. A professional skipper will take care of your journey's navigational aspects, such as sailing, docking and anchoring your boat. This allows you to focus on enjoying your time as you discover Pula.

Furthermore, a skipper will be familiar with Pula and the Adriatic Sea. This means that they can safely and comfortably show you around the area. They can also customise your journey and show you more of what you like, including hidden places only locals know about. Ultimately, a skipper will give you a unique experience on your boat hire in Pula.

Nice harbor with very new and clean toilets even with showers. Just the parking is a nightmare, we had to search for around 35minutes for a parking lot - so be prepared! Pula itself is a very nice city with a lot of Sightseeing spots for everyone. Go and see the Amphitheater, highly recommended:)
