Sea Starlight in Cádiz is a nighttime sailing experience to observe the sky from the sea, far from light pollution, with guided explanations and a privileged setting in the Bay of Cádiz.

The Sea Starlight experience allows you to discover the night sky from one of the most special places to observe it: the sea. Away from the coastal lights, the celestial vault reveals itself with surprising clarity.

Aboard the Sea Starlight sailboat, we will sail at night in the Bay of Cádiz and observe stars, constellations, and planets in a tranquil and privileged environment.

What you will feel during the experience

During the voyage, you will enjoy an experience that combines sea, sky, and scientific outreach:

We will begin with the sunset over the Atlantic.

We will observe the starry sky from the boat.

We will identify the main celestial bodies with a laser pointer.

A Starlight monitor, certified by the Starlight Foundation, will be our guide on board.

We will enjoy a light dinner on board with local products and our famous "Julymoon" omelet while we sail.

You will also learn to use a planisphere to orient yourself in the night sky and find north. In addition, you will be able to observe and hold a small collection of meteorites from space.

Upon returning to port, the experience continues with a virtual reality viewing of the program "An Adventure Between the Sea and the Stars," sponsored by the European Union, which connects sailing with the history of exploration and observation of the cosmos.
