About the experience
A boat trip along the Amalfi Coast is an experience that enchants the senses, a succession of spectacular views, turquoise waters and villages nestled among the rocks. Sailing gently aboard a typical Sorrento gozzo, we will let ourselves be lulled by the sea, exploring the treasures of this extraordinary coast.
Starting from Cetara, a small fishing village famous for its anchovy sauce, we immediately immerse ourselves in the authentic atmosphere of the Coast. Its colorful houses, the small port and the majestic Saracen tower that dominates the coast make this place a jewel that is still not very touristy and with an intact charm.
Leaving the village behind us, the navigation continues towards Maiori and Minori, two places with an authentic charm, with wide golden beaches and a strong link with the Amalfi gastronomic tradition. Here, among ancient pasta factories and fragrant lemon groves, you can breathe the true essence of the coast.
After Minori, the spectacle of the Marmorata waterfall gives us a moment of freshness and wonder: a jet of fresh water that dives directly into the sea, creating a unique contrast between the green of the vegetation and the crystalline blue of the water.
Sailing west, we reach the glorious Amalfi, an ancient Maritime Republic. Its Cathedral, with its majestic staircase and characteristic cloister, stands out among the white houses of the historic center, where the streets wind through artisan workshops and cafes with a retro flavor. A little further on, the small village of Atrani, with its houses perched on the cliff and the intimate atmosphere, represents one of the most evocative corners of the Coast.
After admiring the coast below Ravello, with its villas suspended between sky and sea, we reach the picturesque bay of Conca dei Marini, framed by exclusive villas and dominated by the famous seaside restaurant “La Tonnarella”, where the flavors of traditional cuisine are combined with the breathtaking view.
One of the most fascinating places along the route is the Fiordo di Furore, a narrow inlet enclosed between high rocky walls, where the sea takes on incredible shades of emerald. This secret corner of the coast is home to a small fishing village and a panoramic bridge from which spectacular diving competitions take place every year.
Continuing, the coast opens onto Praiano, with its two sides: to the west, the suggestive Cala La Gavitella, a bay kissed by the sun all day with a spectacular view of Positano; to the east, the Marina di Praia, dominated by the iconic “Africana” disco and framed by ancient watchtowers.
Passing the elegant Hotel San Pietro, one of the most exclusive hotels in southern Italy, the navigation takes us through hidden coves and beaches reachable only by sea, such as the refined beach of Arienzo, famous for its beach club, and the quiet inlet of Laurito, where the characteristic restaurant “Da Adolfo” is located.
Finally, the journey culminates in the bay of Positano, the pearl of the Coast, with its pastel-colored houses that slope gently towards the sea. Here, among the turquoise waters, historic villas overlook the turquoise waters that belonged to famous people such as Franco Zeffirelli and Tazio Nuvolari, who found in this corner of paradise a refuge of peace and beauty.
Along the way, there will be the opportunity to stop to swim in the most crystalline waters and admire the historic watchtowers and the iconic domes of the churches that dot the coast. For lunch, we can suggest a typical restaurant by the sea, where you can taste the real Amalfi cuisine, with dishes based on fresh fish and local specialties.
An unforgettable experience, to be lived by letting yourself be carried away by the slow rhythm of the sea, immersed in the timeless beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
