Itinerary

Starting location:
Olhão Marina, Olhão, Portugal
Departure from Olhão: Gateway to the Ria Formosa
Step into the heart of authenticity as you board from the charming fishing town of Olhão. With its colorful boats, vibrant local life, and deep maritime roots, Olhão sets the perfect scene for the start of your journey. As the boat pulls away from the harbor, the bustling town slowly fades into the background, giving way to the tranquil beauty of the lagoon.
Oyster Farms: A Taste of Tradition
Sail through the calm waters of the Ria Formosa and discover the region’s famous oyster beds. These underwater farms are not only vital to the local economy—they’re also a symbol of Algarve’s coastal heritage. You'll glide past rows of oyster trays and learn how these delicacies are grown in harmony with nature. It’s a peaceful and fascinating glimpse into a tradition that dates back generations.
Desert Islands: Wild Beaches and Crystal Waters
Anchor near the untouched islands of Culatra or Armona, where time seems to stand still. Here, soft sands, transparent waters, and total serenity invite you to dive in—literally. Whether you’re sunbathing on a secluded beach, snorkeling among marine life, or gliding along on a stand-up paddleboard, the desert islands offer a true escape into nature. No roads, no stress—just you and the rhythm of the sea.
Lighthouse Stop: Cabo de Santa Maria Magic
End your journey with a breathtaking stop near the Cabo de Santa Maria lighthouse—the southernmost point of mainland Portugal. Towering over the dunes, the lighthouse offers a perfect contrast between wild beauty and human guidance. It’s the ideal photo opportunity and a powerful reminder of the seafaring stories that shaped this coast. Let the view sink in—you’re standing at the edge of the Atlantic.
