About the experience

The sailboat is brand new, and I love spending as much time on board as possible.

That's one of the reasons I go out as often as I can.

"I only do shared sailing: I'M ALWAYS ON BOARD."

No smoking on board: Especially inside. In case of a "crisis," an exception may be made on the swim platform if the weather is calm.

Bring boat shoes.
Life jackets are mandatory for non-swimmers or as soon as the swell picks up.

Price quoted for 1 couple: €50 per day per additional person starting with the third person (price decreases depending on the number of days).

Price quote available depending on family composition with children.

The sailboat is incredibly comfortable, with two enclosed double cabins, each with a closet and storage lockers, and a large, superb head with a toilet and shower (hot water throughout).

It features an L-shaped galley equipped with a large 40-liter refrigerated cooler and a two-burner gimballed stove.

The water capacity is 120 liters of fresh water plus 20 liters of hot water in the boiler.

The interior is finished in solid light oak with 1.87m of headroom, a very convivial and comfortable saloon, numerous storage lockers and lockers, and exceptional natural light thanks to its eight deck hatches and windows.

You can take a mini virtual tour on the importer's website, TESYACHTFRANCE, where videos show the interior, beaching, etc.

Its brightness is truly one of its strongest points. Indeed, upon entering the saloon, a genuine sense of well-being immediately envelops you: natural light floods in thanks to the perfectly balanced placement of the portholes and deck hatches.

All lines are led back to the cockpit, and the sailboat is equipped with an autopilot and a state-of-the-art navigation system on the wheel console, with the option of Wi-Fi connectivity to an iPad for saloon watches.

The emergency tiller is within easy reach in the very large hydraulic locker on the starboard side, along with the sea anchor.

With its shallow draft (38 cm), it's easy to navigate small streams and rias, and beach with ease.

Its large, fold-down aft platform (135 x 90 cm) allows you to walk down to the sand or climb back on board for a swim, thanks to its integrated folding ladder.

The considerable volume throughout means that this 9.60 m sailboat, with its platform folded down, has nothing to envy in its rivals, even much larger ones!

Although it's a centerboarder, the sailboat sails quite well upwind and is very responsive.

A superb sailboat, then, and that's precisely why I was won over and bought it, replacing its little brother, a magnificent TES720, which was sold the following season.

PS: Fuel tanks are filled before departure and again upon arrival in port on the last evening!

The general costs (port fees, fuel, food) are the responsibility of the renters.

Participants choose and pay for overnight stays in ports other than La Rochelle (free), unless they remain at anchor when weather permits.
A setup and cleaning fee of €80 should also be anticipated, as I need to arrive the day before and leave the next day to prepare and maintain the boat.

We selected this boat, the 28 Magnam, for a trial run before considering a potential investment. Bernard is a fantastic skipper who allowed us to test the boat in rough seas. He knows his boat inside and out and gave us all the details. He was very attentive and a great teacher... it was perfect! A wonderful experience!

We spent 4 extra days with my wife on Bernard's TES28. Bernard knows his dinghy and the region very well, which allowed us to run aground on sandbanks and discover the islands of Re and Oleron differently. He is very educational and we learned a lot about navigation, tides, weather and fishing ?. In short, a very nice experience.
