I’ve used Click & Boat many times. Salvatore was perhaps the least friendly captain I’ve encountered. During the booking process he was super communicative and quick to respond, but his warmth definitely evaporated in person, unfortunately. He picked us up at the pier in Monaco but I guess had not booked a spot, because the woman on the pier was fussing at him about not being able to pick us up there. We had to jump on quickly and zoom off. He gave us no real welcome, no tour of the boat. No discussion about the plans for the day. All he did was grumpliy say we had to take our shoes off, then he gave me legal paperwork to sign that was only in Italian, so I had to use google translate to understand it. Then he gruffly asked for the 500 euro fee for his time and the gas. I speak some French, which was helpful, because his English is not good. Of course, I understand as an American in another country you can’t expect everyone to speak English. He has nothing for you on the boat: no water, no food, no ice, nothing. This wasn’t clearly communicated in the booking process, but I happened to ask him last minute and we were able to scramble to bring things on board. I asked him if he had towels and he had to scrounge around to find 2. (We were four people) but when he saw we had two towels already he took his towels away when we weren’t paying attention. He drove us to a cove/beach about 12-15 min away from the port. He did give us noodles and a couple of masks. We swam for a while, but he basically disappeared below deck for hours. I imagine he was trying to give us privacy, but because we had had no tour of the boat, we felt like we were imposing. He just wasn’t friendly or helpful at all. My friend got a bit sick and had to do #2 in the bathroom (not pleasant of course) wnd it blocked the toilet but he was not prepared with anything to unblock it, so we were stuck without a bathroom. It seems like a logical thing to be able to solve. I’m sure my friend was not the first person to feel ill on a boat. We sat in the same spot with the boat rocking for like 4 hours. We got so bored that we decided to end the day 4ish hours early. After all, he had never communicated about taking us elsewhere, and I didn’t really want to bother him asking if he could take us to another place. He ruined the experience for me, to be honest. I didn’t realize until now how much a captain can make or break your trip. I wish I would have booked another boat like Sunseeker.
