About the experience

In spring, embark on a full-day exploration of Swiss lakes and canals, specially designed to admire the famous storks of Altreu.

Departing in the morning from Portalban, the cruise takes you along Lake Neuchâtel, the Thielle Canal, Lake Biel, and the Nidau Canal, with a spectacular passage through the lock. You'll then continue on the Aare River to Altreu, a charming village where you'll disembark for a 15- to 30-minute self-guided tour of the stork nests, where the baby storks hatch in spring.

Depending on your preferences, you can have lunch at a local restaurant (own expense) or enjoy a picnic on board, with a barbecue available if docking at the pontoon isn't possible. Don't forget your drinks and your good mood!

Isabelle and Gérald are very kind, the boat experience to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday was great ? full of little details with a lot of love and passion, we took a swimming break, the water incredible, music, picnic. They talked to us and explained a lot about the boat ? and the animals that we can find on the lake, we had a wonderful time, the boat is great, clean.
