FAQs

What should I consider when renting a motorboat?
Motorboats are versatile boats that can be rented for the day, half day, several days or weeks. The smaller ones, without a cabin, are often used for day trips. The bigger ones usually carry up to 12 people including the skipper. To know the capacity of the boat of your interest, check its information sheet. Motorboats are suitable for all kinds of navigators and are very popular for bachelor parties and other celebrations.
How much does it cost to rent a motorboat?
You can rent a small 15HP motorboat for 4 people from $150 per day. A motorboat for 12 people, depending on the season and the country, can cost around $650 per day. Motorboats with cabins to sleep in can cost between $700 and $ 8,000 per week, depending on the size and season.
What does a motorboat rental include and what additional fees can I expect to pay?
The base price of most offers only includes price rental and taxes. Fuel is usually calculated at the end of the trip and depends on engine power, speed and weather, so it can vary between $25 and $1000 per day. Our advice: check what extras are included in the offer and ask the owner about the approximate fuel costs for your trip, in order to avoid unpleasant surprises later.
Do I need a license to rent a motorboat?
Each state varies, for example in Florida: A person who was born on or after January 1, 1988, must have completed a boater education course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) or passed an approved equivalency exam to operate a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater (including PWCs). Please check with your boating advisor for further information.
