Motorboat Rental in Ibiza

Dreaming of a holiday at sea? Sail the natural beauty of the Pityusic Islands at your own rhythm on a motorboat rental in Ibiza with your loved ones. Access incredible and exclusive coves, or navigate to beaches with chilled-out summer vibes. The islands of Ibiza and Formentera are the perfect places to rent a motorboat. Discover the impressive landscapes with a spectacular climate and sea, coupled with fantastic nautical activity offers.

Where to sail in Ibiza?

Renting a motorboat in Ibiza allows you to explore hidden coves and golden stretches of sand lining the coast much more quickly, or slowly. That’s the best part, on your motorboat rental, you choose the rhythm! You’ll get to experience the crystal clear waters and warmth of the Balearic Sea, which is sublime for all sorts of aquatic activities and sports!

In Ibiza, the sunsets really are something unique and special and can be enjoyed at a beach restaurant over an amazing meal. Enjoying the sunset from your yacht charter is also an amazing and unique experience! If you opt to watch the sunset in s’Espalmador, spend some time beforehand at one of its glorious beaches. Platja de s’Alga is a favorite of ours, where you can enjoy a purifying mud bath! Though yes, you’ve probably already guessed. It can get a bit touristy.

Another option is navigating to the beach, Es Trucadors. Please note that you can only anchor here if your boat has a low draft.

An explorer, quite like yourself, who enjoys going at their own rhythm, best fits the category of renting a scooter to zoom around the island on land, too. This way, you can visit the idyllic bohemian towns and markets of Formentera. Of course, let’s not forget that Ibiza is renowned for its insane nightlife. Host your own boat party or visit some of the world-famous clubs for the time of your life!

If you fancy visiting other Balearic Islands, like the island of Formentera or Menorca, that is also possible with Nautal. Whether you choose to rent a boat for a full day or a week-long charter, you are sure to have an amazing time!

How much does it cost to rent a motorboat?

The cost of a motorboat rental in Ibiza depends on several different factors such as the size and model of the boat, the duration of the rental, the size of the traveling party, and whether or not you choose to add other amenities. Add-ons such as paddleboards, fishing gear, and water sports equipment can come at an extra cost.

If you wish to hire a skipper or have a crewed motor yacht, this may also come at an extra cost. To get a full overview of the rental price, make to get in contact with the boat owner.

The harbors in Ibiza

During the peak sailing season, moorings and ports are very high in demand, so we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment and to ensure a great day out on the water.

You can rent a motorboat in Ibiza and Formentera in one of the following places:

  • El Puerto d'Eivissa: fishing, sports, commercial, and travel port. This port has a capacity for up to 1400 vessels.
  • La Savina: is a large port in Formentera located on the north of the island. It is mainly a fishing and sports port. If you wish to moor here, remember to do so away from the breakwater, as the ferries pass by here many times a day at a fast velocity.

Renting a motorboat with or without a skipper

With Nautal, it’s possible to rent a motorboat in Ibiza with or without a skipper. The captains on our platform are local experts who know the area like the back of their hand! Let them show you all the top anchorages, secret beaches, secluded bays, and coves, and give you recommendations on the best restaurants and bars.

When is the best time to go?

In Ibiza, summers are delightfully warm. The daytime temperatures can surpass 85ºF during the summer season. In addition, the Mediterranean Sea really heats up in this area and reaches 75ºC to 80ºC during the hottest months!

In the summer season, the wind generally comes from the south and east, and storms are rarely encountered.

The climate conditions vary throughout the year. In autumn, the cold air currents collide with the warm water of the sea, which can cause storms. Winter also has a less stable climate, with this time of year reserved especially for the tramontana wind. This wind can be potentially dangerous, as it is strong and dry. In spring, on the other hand, advection fog can sometimes occur, as a consequence of the evaporation of the sea in the cooler air.

Don’t fear, all is well during the sailing season! We only ask that you always remain informed when sailing, as you would do anywhere else.

Ibiza and Formentera are perfect for sailing. Many great places and the booklet received from Rumbo Norte was very helpful in terms of where to anchor etc.

Formentera is a beautiful place, Lots of hidden caves to view and some unbelievable beaches to moor up at. We visited the whole of the west coast in a day and had a great time. If you hire a boat this is a must do trip. Only thing to be cautious about is the open sea crossing between Ibiza and Formentera, it can get a little choppy at high wind.

Visit Ibiza and Formentera, particularly the caves for cliff jumping. Reserve a lunch spot in Formentera (Tiburon was amazing) the week before. A tender can pick you up so you are dry upon arrival at the restaurant. Overall the cruise to the isolated beaches and caves was 100% worth the money spent!!!
