Embark on a captivating 4-hour sunset boat trip, departing from Kissamos Port in Chania at 3:00 PM, designed to showcase the stunning beauty of western Crete as the day turns to evening. Our journey will first take us to the iconic island of Gramvousa, allowing you a refreshing late afternoon dip in its stunning turquoise waters. While the main visit will not take place at sunset, you will still experience the island’s charm and perhaps see the first golden hues beginning to paint the landscape.

Next, we will sail towards the world-famous Balos Lagoon. Arriving late in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to see the lagoon’s enchanting shallow waters and white sandy beaches bathed in the warm, golden light of the setting sun. Enjoy a dip in this idyllic paradise as the sky begins its spectacular transformation of colors. The unique landscape of Balos, with its panoramic views, provides an unforgettable backdrop for the approaching twilight.

As the sun continues its setting, we will also pass by some less crowded, more secluded private beaches along the coastline, offering moments of their serene beauty in the soft evening light. While a dedicated stop may not be feasible within the 4-hour time frame to fully enjoy these beaches at sunset, the views from the boat will undoubtedly be breathtaking.

Our return journey to the port of Kissamos will begin as the sun sets below the horizon, allowing you to watch the final, dramatic colors of the sunset reflected in the sea and coastline. This 4-hour excursion offers a modified experience of the classic Gramvousa and Balos itinerary, carefully timed to incorporate the magical atmosphere of a Cretan sunset, providing an unforgettable combination of exploration and scenic beauty as day turns to night.

A wonderful experience! Recommended for seeing Balos, but also takes you to Gramvousa (first stop) and for a swim in the stunning sea (last stop). Sandwiches and beer/water are included in the price! Michalis, the skipper, is friendly and professional!
