Capri is an enticing destination because of its remnants of ancient history and traditional Italian charm. Everyone may find a way to visit the island, from high-end tourists to famous people on a budget.

Where to sail in Capri?

The best part of a private boat charter in the Gulf of Naples? The freedom of the sea! You can create your itinerary or work with your skipper to Several places in the Bay of Naples that are accessible by boat for day trips from Capri, including Nerano, Positano & Amalfi, Sorrento, and Ischia.

The entire island of Capri may be circled in an hour (without stopping), although the majority of boat companies provide tours lasting two, four, or even all day.

For individuals who want to experience the island by land and are only on the island for one day, a two-hour trip is ideal. It is preferable to take a full-day tour if you want to stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant or go swimming, but it might be exhausting for people who aren't used to being on the water. A four-hour cruise is great since it gives you enough time to sail around the island, explore the sea caves, and stop for a swim.

The harbors in Capri, Italy

Marina Piccola

The warmest, sunniest, and least windy part of the island's southern coast is where Marina Piccola is situated, on the Italian island of Capri. Compared to Marina Grande, where the marina and commercial port are located, this area is much calmer.

You can unwind on the beach or eat lunch nearby at one of the waterfront restaurants before and after your cruise. The Marina di Mulo and the Marina di Pennauro are separated by the Faraglioni rock formations in the Marina Piccola harbor. It also helps that it is located on the most beautiful coastline of Capri.

Marina Grande

You can find all the necessary amenities like a minimarket, pharmacy, newsstand, etc. at the hamlet of Marina Grande, which is a part of the larger municipality of Capri town, one of the two municipalities that make up the island. Numerous cafes, eateries, stores, and souvenir kiosks are also present. Hotels and B&Bs are also available, however most visitors like lodgings that are located nearer the center of Capri.

What can you see/do in Capri?

After touching your own Capri, you must immediately set out to explore the island of Capri on foot. In Capri, there are hiking trails that offer breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and rocky cliffs. The "Via Krupp," an excellent switchback walking trail that connects the Charterhouse of San Giacomo and the Gardens of Augustus, is the most well-known trekking location. Make sure to bring sunscreen and wear sturdy shoes.

The "Giardini di Augusto" gardens are close to Capri town. Stop over to take in the lush flowers and vegetation, get away from the beach bustle, and enjoy the view of Via Krupp.

The Blue Grotto is an incredible sight to see in the southeastern part of Malta. It includes several impressive sea caverns surrounded by bright blue waters. The Blue Grotto is managed like a museum, so no private boat tour includes the entrance ticket to the cave. You must purchase your ticket separately at the grotto entrance, where there is a floating ticket office.

Only when the weather and sea conditions allow are visits within the grotto permitted. If you rent a boat without a skipper, you can park it at the buoys close to the grotto's entrance, and a skipper will come to get you and carry you inside in a rowboat.

Renting a boat with a skipper

You can choose between having a boat charter with a captain or spending a day in the driver’s seat and cruising at your own pace. However, there are many upsides to having a captain/crew on your boat rental.

When you rent a boat with a skipper, they can take care of all of the navigation and planning that your trip requires. They can ensure you go to all of the best spots around Capri. The island of Capri is surrounded by blue waters and incredible nature, so you won’t want to miss a beat. Let a local guide you through the waters, and they may give you some history of the island or sailing tips and tricks.

Sailing with a captain gives you that extra feeling of luxury and relaxation. You can spend quality time with your guests off the Italian coast while you sip on an Aperol spritz.

What boats should I rent?

You can rent a variety of various boats, such as rubber dinghies, wooden gozzo or Lancia boats, speed boats, and yachts, depending on your budget and the size of your group. The traditional gozzo or Lancia boats of Capri are typically used for private boat excursions of the island; however, for transfers to or tours of the Amalfi Coast or the Bay of Naples, we advise using a larger speedboat or yacht.

Choose a charter package that includes snorkeling equipment if you're an active tourist eager to spend time on a boat. Capri is the ideal site to drop anchor and spend some time swimming around because of the pristine, blue waters that surround it. Check out some of the stunning fish species that live in the island's waterways.

A speedboat or yacht charter is a terrific option for a day of cruising for tourists who want to go from Capri to the Amalfi Coast or Positano. You can arrange for a drop-off at the location of your choice. Depending on taste, there are a variety of possibilities, like renting a private yacht or going on a group boat cruise.

Dont waste time at too touristy spots. The island is awesome anyways... A trip with a private boat is worth the money. And the seafood at torre saracena is a must do on the island. It was the best seafood of our lifes. Nice view from the garden of augusto - nice vibes in general.
