About the experience

Janabel is a prestigious ocean racing yacht, built in 1951 in France at the Jouet shipyard, designed by architect Cornu', and completely restored at the Sangermani shipyard in Lavagna in 1993-94.
In the 1950s, Janabel raced between France and Great Britain, crossed the Atlantic, and participated in the Bermuda Race, finishing third.
The hull is made of triple-planked mahogany, riveted with copper, on oak and acacia frames...the "Stradivarius" of the sea.

Today, Janabel is moored in Palermo's "La Cala" marina, just steps from the historic center and various points of artistic and cultural interest, in a city elected the 2018 European Capital of Culture.
We began sharing Janabel with tourists and travelers in the spring of 2017, partly out of curiosity... the enthusiastic reviews of our guests from all over the world inspired us to make hospitality a wonderful profession, overseen with passion and professionalism by Sergio, who welcomes guests with enthusiasm and enjoys ensuring that guests share his love for the city where he lives and for the magnificent Sicilian coast.

The boat can accommodate up to fifteen people for day trips, including an onboard brunch featuring Sicilian street food and, why not, a delicious aperitif with plenty of bubbles upon returning to port. Alternatively, it can accommodate up to five people for an overnight charter. The Aeolian Islands, Cefalu, and the Egadi Islands are the favorite destinations.

Daily rates do not include: skipper, hostess, and Sicilian street food with drinks.

Overnight rates are for 5 people and include breakfast. Discounts are available for smaller groups.
Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is available when the boat is docked in port.
There are four cabins on board, three of which are for guest use, while the fourth is for the skipper.

Prices do not include:
- fuel
- galley
- any moorings
- the skipper
- hostess

Fantastic experience with Sergio! It's a beautiful boat, sails wonderfully, but beyond that, Sergio is a grade-A host! He made for a very relaxing, and fun day for us all, would recommend to anyone!
