About the experience
Hello, choose your favorite boat trip with Bram
- Tour of the Loosdrecht Lakes
The Loosdrecht Lakes area is a beautiful recreational area where you can enjoy nature and recreation. During the boat trip, we sail past the islands and the tow channels on the western side. We also visit the “Kalverstraat,” where calves used to graze, but where luxury holiday homes now stand.
Departure point: Breukeleveen
Duration: approx. 3 hours (295.—)
Sailing days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun.
- Sailing on the Utrecht Vecht (towards Maarssen)
In the 17th century, successful Amsterdam merchants had country estates built along the Vecht. During the boat trip, we sail past these beautiful estates, including the old town hall of Maarssen: Goudestein. By arrangement, we can make a stop here for a visit to the Vechtstreek Museum and a walk through the park. We also sail through the village center of Maarssen and past Nijenrode Castle.
Boarding point: Maarssen or Breukelen
Duration: approx. 3 hours (295.—)
Sailing days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun.
- Sailing on the Utrecht Vecht (towards Vreeland)
If we sail towards Vreeland, we pass Nieuwersluis. Here we see a special piece of UNESCO World Heritage, namely Fort Nieuwersluis. The fort was once part of the old and new Dutch Water Line. We also sail through the village centers of Loenen aan de Vecht and Vreeland. The old houses, windmills, and drawbridges create a quintessentially Dutch scene.

After a trip along the Utrecht Vecht, we arrive at the Weerdsluis in Utrecht. The 13th-century lock regulates the water level in Utrecht's city center and provides a connection to the Oudegracht and the new waterway of the Catharijnesingel. Sail along past the wharf cellars and the cozy waterside terraces. Departure: Maarssen or Breukelen

Bram loves love and is happy to serve as a wedding boat! Please get in touch to discuss the possibilities!
Let's get acquainted...
Bram is not the name of the skipper, but the name of the sloop we sail in. The skipper's name is Eddy van der Horst. Eddy (1951) is an experienced skipper and, during his retirement, enjoys the conviviality and tranquility on the water.
Eddy would love to take you along for a day trip on the water. Enjoy the reed beds along the waterfront, the rippling water, an ice cream at the quay, and the sights along the route. Will you join us?
