About the experience

You don't need to know anything about sailing to participate. This course is designed for those who want to learn to sail from scratch, in a full day that combines instruction with the beauty of the Riviera di Ulisse. We depart from Formia at 9:00 a.m. and set out on a sailboat: the absolute best place to truly understand how it works.

In the morning, we cover the basics: how to orient yourself with the wind, how to maneuver the sails, and how to steer the boat underway. No heavy theory—everything is learned by doing, with your hands on the mainsail and the halyard in hand. The skipper instructor guides each participant directly on board, with a practical and unhurried approach.

In the afternoon, we sail along the Riviera di Ulisse and towards Sperlonga and Gaeta, putting into practice what we learned in the morning. We stop in the most beautiful coves for a break, swim, use the SUP, and enjoy the sea through the eyes of those who already understand a little more about how a sailboat moves. A traditional lunch is included and served on board during the stop.

Water is included all day, all teaching materials are on board, and you don't have to bring anything. Contact us to check available dates and the maximum number of participants per session.

Learning to sail is one of those things that, once you've learned it, you never stop wanting to do.

It was difficult to communicate clearly with the owner, there are services described that are missing (air conditioning is there but it is not turned on, the unusable fridge meant that we had to throw away some food, tender not usable by those renting the boat). The maintenance leaves much to be desired (we lost the anchor in the sea and we were the ones looking for it and not the owner for two consecutive times, the gangway came loose and fell into the sea, various parts of the boat were unsafe). All surrounded by the lack of sympathy of the owner who seems to behave as if he were working for free and perhaps lost sight of the fact that we were customers. Despite everything, the price is low and the cleanliness is good. I waited to leave the review to do a favor to the owner but I feel forced, because to round it all off we receive privately (not via Click&Boat) and after a good month and a half a message in which they also ask us for money for damages that never occurred. I am very sorry to leave this comment because the boat is beautiful and the holiday despite the misadventures was wonderful, but we owe no positive side to the skipper.

We just returned from a week in the Ponziane aboard Encelado. The boat is large, solid and sporty. Alessandro is an expert, passionate, friendly and very helpful skipper. He told us many anecdotes about the islands, showed us coves and caves that we didn't know, gave short sailing lessons to our daughters with whom he was very affectionate and patient! Last but not least, he also suggested very interesting restaurants for our dinners out. It was a wonderful experience.

Alessandro's Benetau First 51 is a comfortable boat and at the same time with a small sporty streak. The owner himself was very kind in offering us some small sailing lessons, as well as always responding to our requests. I would do the experience again!

I celebrated my 30th birthday on board Alexander's Enceladus. A splendid and very comfortable sailing boat. Alessandro is very nice, he explained to us all the techniques and curiosities of an expert skipper. Unforgettable experience, I couldn't ask for anything better. I absolutely recommend!
