About the experience

The walk begins in the tranquil inner part of the bay. The first gems of the Boka Bay are:
-Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks) Island: This artificial island was created over centuries on the site where sailors found an icon.

-Perast. A postcard-perfect view of this ancient town with Venetian palaces and bell towers opens up right from the water.

Next, we'll head to the Island of Flowers (Montenegro: Ostrvo Cvijeca), also known as Miholjska Prevlaka or the Island of St. Michael the Archangel.
-The island got its romantic name from its lush Mediterranean vegetation.

Also on our way, we'll see Herceg Novi, a city in southwestern Montenegro, at the foot of Mount Orjen, on the shores of the Bay of Kotor. It's often called Montenegro's "botanical garden" due to the abundance of Mediterranean vegetation—palms, agaves, magnolias, and mimosas, which bloom here as early as January.

The main architectural features are the 14th-century Forte Mare fortress and the 17th-century Sahat Kula clock tower, built by the Venetians and Turks.

The Old Town is a labyrinth of narrow stone streets, steps, and small squares.

Our final stop will be Mamula Island—a tiny uninhabited islet at the entrance to Boka Kotorska Bay, directly opposite Herceg Novi. It's famous for its dark history and recent conversion into a luxury hotel. And all this is set against the backdrop of a stunning sunset over the open sea.
