The rates above include the yacht, its crew and their food as well as insurance.
The rates do not include APA (see below)
APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance)
The charter fee generally covers only the hire of the yacht, crew and insurance while all other expenses are in addition to the charter fee covered by the APA.
The APA covers the cost of fuel, food, wines and liquors, dockage, communications, etc and will be included with your final charter payment. The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain of the yacht to provision on your behalf. A percentage is added on to the base charter fee, generally 25% to 30%, depending on the itinerary and provisions requested by the guests.
The Captain will make all payments out of this account, and is obligated to keep all receipts and balance the account for you. You can review the expenditure level at any time with the Captain, and you will be advised well in advance should it need replenishing. Any amounts not used will be refunded to you at the end of the charter.
There are no mark ups on the APA - all of the expenses go towards buying fuel, food, etc., and you can review every receipt if you wish. The APA system is a simple way of getting the yacht provisioned efficiently, with minimal hassle and straightforward record keeping.
VAT rate is determined by applicable tax legislation and may be subject to change without prior notice or responsibility on the Broker, the Stakeholder or the Owner. Should any changes in applicable tax legislation take place after the issuance of a charter agreement resulting in changes in total amount(s) due then the difference will be credited or debited accordingly to the Charterer
