Good personal contact, easy and quick handover. The Maxus 21 was easy to sail and was technically in good condition. The charter base is in a good location and makes a great impression
It was great again, thank you!
There were a few quirks, but in itself a very great sailing boat.
Nice boat
We had a wonderful weekend around the Sneeker Meer. The base was very nice, friendly, competent and helpful. The boat is OK as a family for a weekend, but quite small and uncomfortable for longer periods. If you are over 1.70m, you have simply lost below deck. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired! The boat sailed very well, the rig and sails were in very good condition. The outboard motor was more difficult to use, no problem for the trip in the canal, harbor maneuvers are more difficult. All in all, the price-performance ratio was right and we'd love to come back.
Rented the Maxus 21 for a week with sleeping on board. This sleeping turned out to be the wrong choice. The sailing itself was fantastic, the stay on board after day 1 was more tiring than fun, the cabin too small and too low and the cockpit very uncomfortable due to the sloping rock-solid seat and the lack of a decent backrest. A back breaker. Very poor that not 2 soft seating options are moved in the cockpit. A very awkward place for the outboard motor too, low left aft, and here too shabby that there is no throttle and shift lever in the cockpit. You almost have to lie on your stomach to operate the engine, it quickly becomes annoying and dangerous. And a folding rudder nice, but because of that 20 cm free stroke on the rudder, seems somewhat unnecessary to me. Renting this boat for a day is fine, but not for a week if you are taller than 1.75m. Conclusion: most fun but also most uncomfortable week's holiday ever.
Nice boat but very cramped for two adults. Sleeping is also difficult because of the thin mattresses.
Very nice experience. We had the Maxus21 and it sailed wonderfully. With the small outboard motor it was a bit difficult to maneuver, especially in reverse. But reception, explanation and further handling was extremely friendly and pleasant. We will definitely come back here!
On the whole a good value for money. The reception was not well organized though. Only a brief briefing to the boat and unfortunately the CODE to the toilets and showers was not called us. After we had learned everything, a very nice weekend.
