Menorca Private Luxury Sailing Experience | Full Day Charter from Mahón ⛵

One of the worst experiences on a boat. The positive thing is that Sitio was friendly at all times, but I think the service, and especially the empathy, left a lot to be desired. I must say that it's true that they didn't give any warnings in the morning, but we had to ask Sito to come back sooner due to the bad experience we were having. It rained heavily for hours (we spent more time inside than outside), with big waves at times that made us feel bad, even at one point a lightning bolt struck the boat. What I most wanted was that upon arrival, we hoped there would be something on his part (a refund of some money, the ability to return when the weather improved, or at least a refund for the paddleboarding we used for literally 10 minutes), but no, he said goodbye with a "what bad luck with the weather" and that was it. I understand why he didn't return the full amount since for him it was a whole day wasted, but for us, it was almost 800 euros thrown away. An experience we had been looking forward to and for which we decided to spend so much money was ruined. As a tip, you could at least offer a half-day where people pay for the gas costs if things like this happen. We were clearly upset, and although Sito clearly doesn't have control over the weather, if you see that they have to be inside for 80% of the trip, you know they're going to be very sad. I want to clarify that before leaving, we checked the official weather reports, which didn't indicate any warnings or storms expected. The storm formed unexpectedly and locally at that moment, something impossible to predict. It rained heavily for about two hours, but then the weather improved: the return trip was perfectly possible, even with the possibility of being on deck. At no time did lightning strike the boat ⚓ nor were there any large waves. We were always in a sheltered area with other boats, and I remained outside at the helm, with the engine running and on alert throughout the entire event, ensuring your safety. As stated in the signed contract (point 9, force majeure), cancellations or changes are only considered if adverse weather conditions prevent departure before the start of the voyage, not once it's underway. I sincerely regret that the weather didn't cooperate—something beyond our control—and I appreciate you acknowledging my kindness. I take note of your suggestions for continued improvement. The boat is very well maintained and well-maintained. It's super clean, which made the stay perfect. Sito was very attentive throughout, and we had great communication. It was a wonderful week exploring the south of Menorca.

Sito was an excellent host, and very communicative throughout the booking and hiring process. The yacht was in excellent condition and suited us perfectly for a day’s charter. Sito gave us tips on where to sail and also helped us remotely (whilst we were sailing and he was ashore) with booking a buoy to pick up. Would highly recommend Sito as a hirer. Hasta la proxima!
