About the experience

Our unforgettable journey begins at Benitses Marina, where we set sail to explore the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of Corfu’s stunning coastline. Just ten minutes after departure, we’ll cruise past Pontikonisi (Mouse Island), a charming little island with a quaint chapel perched at the top, offering a peaceful and scenic start to the adventure. As we continue along the coast, we’ll catch sight of the Mon Repos Palace, a magnificent neoclassical mansion that was the birthplace of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Surrounded by lush gardens, this historic site gives us a glimpse into the island’s aristocratic past.

Our route will take us further along the coastline to the impressive Old Fortress, a Venetian structure that dates back to the 16th century. Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, it offers breathtaking views of Corfu Town and the surrounding waters. Guests will be captivated by the fortress’s strategic importance in the island’s defense history.

Next, we’ll pass Vidos Island, a tranquil haven with a poignant history, home to the Serbian Mausoleum, a memorial to the Serbian soldiers who died during World War I. This peaceful spot contrasts with its somber past, offering guests a moment of reflection and appreciation for the island’s multifaceted history.

Continuing along, we’ll pass the tv series Durrells House, made famous by the hit TV series The Durrells. This villa, perched above the water, provides a picturesque setting and a connection to the famous Durrell family who lived in the 1930s. We’ll also see Theotoky’s Waterfront Villa, once the home of a former Greek Prime Minister, showcasing the elegance and beauty of Corfu’s coastal estates.

As we cruise through these historic sights, we’ll also pass through Nisaki Bay, a peaceful and scenic area with crystal-clear waters. The next stop is Agni Beach, one of the island’s most picturesque spots, where guests can enjoy the stunning views and sparkling waters.

Another highlight will be the White House, also known as the real Durrells’ house, which has become a beloved landmark. This beautiful villa offers a glimpse into the past and a connection to the island’s most famous literary family. Guests will also catch sight of the Rothschild Castle, an impressive estate with sweeping views of the Ionian Sea, which once belonged to the influential Rothschild family.

After a leisurely cruise through these historic landmarks, we’ll make our first swim stop at the secluded beach of Akoli. Accessible only by boat, Akoli Beach is tucked away within a protected forest, making it a hidden gem for those seeking peace and tranquility. The waters here are crystal-clear, perfect for a refreshing swim or simply enjoying the serene surroundings.

Next, it’s time for lunch at one of three renowned restaurants. Guests can choose to dine at Toula’s Restaurant, where the menu offers a delicious selection of authentic Greek dishes made with fresh, local ingredients, or they can opt for the White House or the Glyfa Restaurant which both serve delightful Greek and Mediterranean cuisine in the same iconic location where the Durrell family once lived.

After lunch, we’ll take a final swim, either at the fascinating underwater cave near Agni Beach, where guests can marvel at the unique formations and crystal-clear waters, or at a peaceful spot by Glyfa Beach, known for its quiet atmosphere and pristine coastline.

At the end of the day, guests will have experienced the best of Corfu—its breathtaking natural beauty, fascinating history, and authentic local culture. This full day of exploration promises unforgettable memories, from stunning vistas to serene swims, making it a perfect way to discover all that Corfu has to offer.
