Embark on an unforgettable 8-hour journey from the Port of Alicante to Tabarca Island, the smallest inhabited island in the Mediterranean and a true natural and marine paradise. This unique experience combines sailing, unspoiled nature, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, and traditional cuisine, ideal for groups, couples, or families looking for a full day at sea.

We'll set sail south, skirting the Alicante shipyard, sailing alongside the Palmeral and the Urbanova area, until we reach the magical Arenales del Sol, where pristine sand dunes still cling to the coast—a rarity these days. We'll continue along the Gran Alacant coast, passing under the Santa Pola lighthouse, a popular spot for paragliding, with breathtaking views of Carabassí Beach, a pristine gem where pine trees reach right down to the water's edge.

Finally, we'll reach the spectacular Tabarca Island, world-renowned for its underwater flora and fauna. Here you can enjoy activities like snorkeling, paddle surfing, or simply relax in one of its hidden coves. For lunch, you have two options: go ashore and enjoy a local restaurant—we recommend trying the traditional Tabarca-style caldero (fish stew) or squid caught by jigging—or have your meal delivered to you by boat from the restaurant. The skipper will remain on board at all times for your peace of mind and safety.

The choice of anchorage will depend on the wind: if it blows from the south, we recommend anchoring on the north side of the island, and vice versa.

    I'm not in the business of superlatives, so will just summarize my subjective opinion of the 4 hour boat trip that we had in the Alicante bay. Ease of finding the location, greeting and communication: we had a boat booked from 15:00 to 19:00. We arrived to the agreed meet-up point ad 14:50. The skipper was a bit late and picked us up at 15:07, so we had to wait under the scorching sun for like 15 mins, which is not a big deal, but I expected to be in the boat sailing off at 15:00, but perhaps it was my erroneous expectation of how these trips work. The boat: well maintained, clean, no diesel fumes as we feared after reading one of the comments, it did the job for us ( family of 6 ppl). What the boat is not- it is not a yacht, not a speed boat, it is a reasonable size motor boat that sails at very low speed, which again was fine for us as we were looking for a calm cruising, not cutting through waves at top speed propelled by a double 250 HP Honda engines :) just set your expectations accordingly :) Th skipper / owner: relly nice gentleman, speaks very good English, very polite and professional, expert maritimer who knows the local waters ( told us about the jellyfish invasion and took us to a place where there were no danger of encountering them while swimming). Provided an inflatable floating mattess, SUP and snorkeling masks. The route: approcimately 40 min sail to the coast of Almadabra beach, 2.5 hours there snorkeling, swimming, fooling around, then a 40 min sail back. 4 hours is just enough for this route and trip. It's a slower boat, so going to Tabarca would not be possible in this time frame. The overall experience: we had a great time, good price to quality ratio, not a luxurious boat if you are looking for one, but for us as a family on a budget, it was a perfect solution, perfect boat and a great overall experience.

    The maximum cruising speed at which this boat sails is a whopping 6 knots (11 km/h). For those who don't know, in port it sails at 4 knots. It was impossible for it to go faster according to the skipper who took us and the owner. If you are thinking of going to Campello to have some rice and take a couple of baths during the day, just tell you that from the Marina of Alicante to the port of Campello this boat takes exactly 2 hours. The same to return hehe. As for the maintenance and the state of the boat, the two cabins are literally two storage rooms full of junk and dirt, in case you are thinking of taking a nap, or simply going to change. If you want privacy and for the skipper to sail from the flybridge, note that the controls above are half torn off. The music is barely audible outside, the engine runs poorly and the whole smell of diesel enters the stern. To sum up, the quality-price ratio is DISASTROUS, it's a shame I chose it to invite my family to for my birthday.
